San Francisco vs. Seattle: Which State Should You Choose to Live In

San Franciso and Seattle have both been dubbed two of the most beautiful states where you can reside. However, buying one home in each of the states is not very practical. As such, Zillow combined a list of reasons and criteria that will help you decide where your new home should be built.

One of the first things that you need to ask yourself is the reason why you want to live in a particular state. A San Francisco resident told My San Francisco Kitchen, "I chose to live in San Francisco because it has all of the perks of living in a big city without feeling like living in a big city. It has many diverse restaurants, shops and endless things to do, but it is only 7 square miles. It also has a lot of outdoor recreation!"

Another thing that you need to consider is the kid-friendliness of the state or the city. If your neighborhood is kid-friendly, this means that your children will be safe from harm at all costs. Even if you still don't have kids, living in a kid-friendly neighborhood will mean you don't have to transfer to a different location when you finally decide to have children.

Meanwhile, the traffic situation and your transportation options are the next two things you need to take into consideration. If your city is traffic-free and accessible to different types of transportation, you will never have a hard time going to and from places while you're there. According to one Seattle resident, "Seattle took longer than many metropolitan cities to get on top of great public transportation options, so we are a bit behind in this regard."

Now that you know some of the things you need to consider, it's really up to you to decide if you should live in San Francisco or Seattle.
