Celebrity Real Estate: Basketball Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas Lists NY Mansion for $3.73M

Basketball Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas finally decided to sell his trophy house in Purchase, New York for $3,725,000. According to Realtor, the enormous Georgian-style estate was originally built in 1999, and the classic brick home has a total area of 11,600 square feet. Sitting on an acre of land, the 12-time NBA All-Star's property, which is just an hour drive from Manhattan, features high ceilings and is decorated with elegant fixtures.

The two-story mansion features a formal dining room, a living room and an eat-in kitchen. It also has a home theater, a game room and a bar. A guest suite is located on the first floor, and there are a total of seven full bathrooms. On the outside, the property boasts a resort-style swimming pool and a terrace.

Thomas' NBA career began when he became the no. 2 pick by the Detroit Pistons during the 1981 NBA draft. He then signed a four-year $1.6 million contract with the team. He made the all-rookie team and then started for the Eastern Conference during the 1982 All-Star game. Aside from playing in the NBA, he was also selected to play in the 1980 Olympics; however, he was not able to play because of the Olympics boycott.

After retiring, Thomas became a businessman and chairman and CEO of the company Isiah International LLC, which is a holding firm with a diverse expertise in business ventures and investments. Aside from business ventures, he is also involved in real estate projects in Chicago in his other company, Isiah Real Estate. In addition, he is also focusing now on management and coaching. Last year, he was hired as president of the WNBA team New York Liberty
