Celebrity Homes: Jackie Collins' Beverly Hills Estate Seeking $30M

The late novelist Jackie Collins once resided in a home located in Beverly Hills. Now, just a few months after her passing, the estate making its way into the market - even seeking as much as $30 million, according to people familiar with the listing.

The modern home, which was completed in 1992, boasts of eight bedrooms across 20,000 square feet of space. It's even got terraces overlooking the property grounds and the famed Hollywood Hills.

An art gallery spanning approximately 100 feet gives guests access between the main house and the guest house, which also houses offices, a gym, a sauna, and a screening room. In addition, the estimated 1-acre property also has a motor court, a swimming pool inspired by a David Hockney painting, and it even comes with a cabana.

"From ceilings and sinks to shelves and phone and computer outlets, they all had to be just so," Collins said in an interview back in 2014 about supervising every single detail when they were designing the mansion.

Like any other writer, Collins tends to change her scenery from time to time. The Wall Street Journal reports:

"Ms. Collins, who wrote dozens of novels throughout her career, said she had five writing desks throughout the house and did most of her work in two studies - one off her bedroom and another next to the gym."

Jackie Collins died after a battle with breast cancer last fall; she was 77 years old. She was known for her books, such as 1983's "Hollywood Wives," 2014's "The Santangelos," 1990's "The World Is Full of Married Men," and 2013's "Confessions of a Wild Child."

The home is currently represented by listing agents Brett Lawyer and Susan Smith of Hilton & Hyland.
