Home Buying & Dating, and What Every Buyer Should Understand

Buying or choosing a house to purchase is never an easy task. One should be too careful before saying that they have truly found the one. Similar to dating, home buying can be full of surprises and tough decisions to make. Both requires effort and even faith for it to be successful. Why Home Buying Is (or Isn't) Like Dating

It's a Number Game

"Life would be so much simpler if the first house you ever visited, or the first person you ever kissed, was The One. Buyers typically search for 10 weeks and look at 10 homes before purchasing, according to the National Association of Realtors®." Similarly, "Love doesn't come easily, either. First Impression Matter

The first few minutes home buyers spend at an open house go a long way in influencing their decisions. Another study shows it takes only 12 minutes for people on a first date to decide if they're interested in the other person. Read full article...

Though both activities are sharing similar concepts, still one has to differ from the other. In buying, in particular, faults can easily be detected, whereas, in dating, it may take some times or years before the true character of a person will fully unravel itself. And such home buying difference should be taken advantage of by every buyer. As early as possible, you should try to check the important things that a house should have and should not have. Attempt to scrutinize the property before saying that it is truly The One for you.
