Developer Jared Kushner's Puck Building Penthouse three-bedroom unit has been sold for $28 million. The property which was listed as one of the most expensive in New York was sold at a reduced price after it was first offered at an asking price of $35.1 million, listing agents Nikki Field and Mara Flash Blum of Sotheby's International Realty said.
The ninth floor apartment, Penthouse II, was the second unit sold in Manhattan's downtown landmark at 295 Lafayette Street since its sales of the units started in 2014. It is one of the expensive residential sales in Soho or Nolita with its price of about $5,360 a square foot, The Wall Street Journal reports. One unit in the Puck Building Penthouse was lowered down from an asking price f $66 million to $58.5 million.
"The unidentified buyer made a nice deal," said developer Jared Kushner. "We're OK with people getting good deals."
Puck Building Penthouse II sits in an area of 5,222 square feet composed of an office, a library, and a home theater. It has a master suite that also has two huge dressing rooms. The property boasts a private 800-square-foot landscaped terrace offering wonderful views of the Chrysler Building to the north. The three bedrooms and five-and-a-half baths home still features its original details, such as the exposed brick cast-iron columns, according to The Real Deal.
Puck Building Penthouse II had been in the market since September 2014. Kushner's remaining properties are now going to be handled by listing agent Corcoran Group. Just recently, one unit was sold at the Puck Building Penthouse for a price of $28 million. The 6,000-square-foot unit was purchased by JNZ Group. Penthouse 1 in the Puck Building, which is also called "Crown Jewel of Soho," previously listed for $66 million is now on the market for $58.5 million.
