Switzerland is a place where calm and serene can be felt to everyone who enjoys living there. A place where several lakes, mountains and peaks are found, as well as landmarks that played a significant role during medieval period.

It is not new that a number of foreign celebrities have chosen to live in Switzerland, such as:

Shania Twain

"That Don't Impress Me Much" Canadian singer songwriter recently resides in the suburb area in Corseaux, where scenic view of Lake Geneva can be seen.

Phil Collins

"In the Air Tonight" British pop star currently lives at a canton of Vaud. The pop star moved to Switzerland in 1997 together with his two sons and wife, Orianne Cevey.

Tina Turner

"The Best" singer has been busy lately learning German. Turner has given up her US citizenship so she can have her residency in Switzerland. She loves Switzerland and has never thought of moving to another place.

Boris Becker

Unlike other celebrities who wished to get rid of the limelight and wanted to have privacy, Becker was ordered by the Swiss court to pay his wedding fee for 3,400 francs to the minister who was the presider of his wedding ceremony.

James Blunt

Although Blunt admitted to himself that he is the worst cook, he has opened a new restaurant "La Vache." The 38-year-old singer has resided in a municipality of Valais since 2007.

Listed as the second wealthiest sportsman in the world surveyed by Sunday Times is happily residing in Gland.

Known for being thrifty, Ingvar Kamprad has reached its fortune up to 38-39 billion francs, roughly about $41-42 billion. Switzerland know for implementing low  taxes, it is not surprising that many entrepreneurs would also want to be an expat in their country.
