Brooklyn Real Estate: This Home Was Priced at Almost $3K Per Square Foot

 A Brooklyn real estate property located at 36 Strong Place in Cobble Hill was reportedly sold for $2900 per square foot. The 19th century carriage house with a 2,00- square-foot area had an asking price of $5.8 million. 

After the property was sold for $2900 per square foot, Yahoo Real Estate claims that it is set to break all Brooklyn real estate sales records in the region. The property was listed with Alexander Maroni of Douglas Elliman real estate firm.

The 3-bed, 2 ½-bath Strong Place home offers a unique location as it is situated at the back of a lot with a spacious front yard and private driveway. The Brooklyn real estate property is set 90 feet away from the main street, offering great privacy and peaceful ambience. Another highlight of the property is it is surrounded by towering trees and a lush garden. In 2013, the home was renovated by renowned architect Ben Baxt who incorporated modern design in the property.

Other features of the Brooklyn real estate property are multiple skylights, dramatic exposed beams, 14' pine floors, zoned central AC and heat, a wood-burning fireplace, and an impressive architectural staircase made of steel and wood linking each level. There's also a custom-built barn door leading to the living room, according to Elliman's listings. It is just several minutes away from several shopping and dining locations, schools, and other prime spots such as Brooklyn Bridge Park, Barclays Center and BAM.

According to Trulia, the median sale price of a Brooklyn real estate from October 2015 to January 2016 was $660,000. For the week until Jan. 27, the average price listing of Brooklyn properties on Trulia was reported at $1,077,880. The most popular neighborhood homes in Brooklyn are: Sheepshead Bay, East New York, Bay Ridge & Fort Hamilton, Bedford - Stuyvesant, East Flatbush, and Park Slope. The site also claims that the average price per square foot for Brooklyn homes was $597.
