GrubHub CEO Matt Maloney is listing his Lincoln Park, Chicago home for the price of $3.45 million.
Maloney and his wife are selling their Chicago home after just 15 months of staying there, Chicago Real Estate Daily reported. When the couple moved into the Sedgwick Street property in late 2014, they shelled out $10,000 less than what they are listing the home for.
The report mentioned that the GrubHub co-founder ordered a few renovations to the house when he bought it. However, Maloney was not able to complete the renovations.
The mansion, originally built in 1886, has a total of six bedrooms and five bathrooms. According to its Redfin listing, the property has more than 6,000 square feet of space. However, zoning allows the estate to expand up to 10,000 square feet. The property is located in the best part of Chicago.
The home has tall ceilings all around, with a height of 11.5 feet, matching the hardwood flooring. It also has tall windows, allowing natural light to enter.
Apart from the six bedrooms and five bathrooms, the luxurious abode has a living room, dining room, kitchen, and family room, plus a sun room all found on the second level. On the main level, a storage room is found along with two of the bedrooms. The home also has a full basement.
The Lincoln Park mansion has a central air conditioning system, two fireplaces, and gas and forced air heating. There is also a detached garage which can accommodate up to four vehicles.
The previous owner of the Chicago home had initially tried to sell the property for $4.9 million. However, no one bought it so price was marked down to $4.5 million, then to $3.9 and eventually $3.7 million. Maloney got a good deal buying the home at $3.44 million.
Meanwhile, Michael Evans, the other GrubHub co-founder, also sold his home in the same location for $2 million last week.
