Celebrity Homes: Olivia Palermo Transforms From a Socialite Into an Interior Design Maven

Olivia Palermo rose to stardom via 2009's "The City," a reality show based on MTV's "The Hills," where her lavish lifestyle as a fashionista and socialite was documented. Now, newly married and running a fashion blog, the 29-year-old fashion icon has also transformed into a stylish homemaker.

Pop Sugar recently documented Palermo's Instagram posts wherein she shared several photos of her fabulous home style. In the pictures, Palermo's love for dramatic pieces shines through, as she often highlights large vases and gigantic beds.

Flowers also are definite must-haves for the socialite, and her Instagram feed is literally flooded with snaps of bouquets and flower arrangements.

Palermo has also seemed to have taken up gardening herself, as seen in one post where she is tending to her greens and florals.

It can be noted that in 2014, following her wedding to German model Johannes Huebl, InStyle reported that Palermo partnered with Shutterfly to share tips with newlyweds who are designing their first homes together.

She dished out that the key to a cozy home is to make sure that it isn't too masculine or too feminine, and that both the couple's personalities are incorporated into every nook and cranny. To do this, one trick she shared was to display memorable items that the couple has picked up throughout their relationship, such as travel knickknacks and photos.

"Print a variety of shots in different shapes and sizes--family photos, landscape shots, architectural imagery--and frame them with simple, complimentary frames," Palermo shared.

Although known for her impeccable fashion taste, Palermo is no stranger to creating beautiful spaces. According to her bio, her father is a real estate developer and her mother, an interior designer.
