WWE Survivor Series 2014 Results & Highlights: Sting Makes Debut, Dolph Ziggler Powers Team Cena To Win vs. Team Authority

WWE Survivor Series 2014 - John Cena squad dodged a bullet after former Intercontinental champion Dolph Ziggler overcame a 1-on-3 disadvantage to power his team to victory against the Authority in the main event of Sunday's survivor series at Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

Ziggler, who was the first recruit of Cena right after he accepted the challenge from Triple H's Authority of a traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series match, was the brightest star of the night after he eliminated four of the Authority men.

The impressive part about Ziggler's feat was he pulled it off when all of his teammates were already booted out of the match as the Authority jumped on Team Cena right from the opening bell.

Ryback, Erick Rowan and John Cena all fell prey to the Authority's collective might along with some unexpected aid from Team Cena's biggest member Big Show, who turned on the Cenation leader by knocking him out cold with KO punch.

Ziggler, who already eliminated the Russian hero Rusev, suddenly faced a huge 1-on-3 mismatch with Kane, Luke Harper and Seth Rollins all looking for a quick finish in the main event of the 28th Survivor Series.

However, the former two-time World Heavyweight Champion rose up to occasion and delivered perhaps the gutsiest performance in Survivor Series history as he somehow eliminated Kane (pinned with zig-zag), Luke Harper (pinned after a roll-up) and Seth Rollins (pinned) to save their careers.

But Ziggler's heroics were overshadowed by the appearance of the most decorated wrestlers in the history of the professional wrestling. Sting, the former WCW and TNA champ, made his swashbuckling debut by knocking out Triple H with his signature Scorpion Death Drop.

Meanwhile, the night also saw the emergence of new champions. Nikki Bella with the assistance of his sister Brie Bella became the WWE Divas Champion after defeating AJ Lee, while the Miz and Damien Mizdow survived a fatal-four way match to win the WWE Tag Team championship. The clash between Bray Wyatt and Dean Ambrose didn't end well with a disqualification. Sunday's result set the stage for a more brutal match between the two psychotic wrestlers at the Tables, Ladders and Chairs match a month from now.
