'Pitch Perfect 2' Trailer Revealed, The Pitches Are Back [See Here]

The Barden Bellas are back! After teasing with a movie poster, the first trailer for the highly-anticipated sequel, "Pitch Perfect 2," has just dropped.

Fans will be happy to note that film stars Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow, Anna Camp, Adam Devine and Alexis Knapp are bringing with them a lot of music, laughter and antics.

The trailer begins with Kendrick's rendition of the single, "Cups" and show scenes of the friendship between the Bellas. While it's all good and dandy, the girls have some serious business to attend to.

After bagging nationals in the first film, the second installment of the hit movie musical features the all-female, a cappella singing group joining an intense international singing competition.

E! News noted: "The Bellas are set to perform in the a cappella world championships, going up not only against old foes the Treblemakers, but also against fierce, disciplined, multilingual...and particularly beefy-looking singers from overseas."

Elizabeth Banks' First Time

Elizabeth Banks is returning not only in the role of Gail, newscaster and sassy judge, but will also be making her directorial debut with the film.

"It's a big responsibility, but I was really excited to take it on and try to do it confidently," said Banks to ABC News in an earlier interview.
"[The original] was lightning in a bottle and it was such a surprise to see how the movie was received. The whole 'Cups' phenomenon was a surprise to all of us. It came from the authenticity of the movie, and this time around we were really aiming to do that again and be pure in our intention to tell more of the story of these characters that people have fallen in love with," she continued.

2012's "Pitch Perfect" was considered the sleeper success of the year, reported The Telegraph. It garnered over $113 million worldwide to become the second most successful musical comedy since Jack Black's "School of Rock" in 2003.

Like in the first film, the Bellas have an uphill climb ahead of them. Gail tell the girls in one scene that "No American team has ever won," explaining that it's because the whole world "hates us."

"Pitch Perfect 2" is scheduled for theater release on May 15, 2015.
