Celebrity Realty: 'X-Men: Apocalypse' Producer Simon Kinberg Buys a $8.4 Million Sunset Strip Mansion

Simon Kinberg, the writer, and producer behind the "X-Men" film franchise, bought the lavish $8.4 million Sunset Strip residence.

Variety exclusively reported Kinberg's latest property acquisition, which has been recently renovated and is located at the base of Bird Streets.

"A Contemporary Cape Cod, the 6,100-plus square-foot abode — we’d probably characterize it as a newfangled quasi-Colonial — was originally built in the 1930s, expanded and completely reimagined by a high-end house flipper, and featured on the most recent season of 'Million Dollar Listing,'" the outlet said.

The outlet also reported that the 6,100-square-foot house boasts of a large-size dining room, a living room with glass sliders and a monochromatic white kitchen.

Moreover, the celebrity home also contains other rooms including a media room, three master bedrooms and a wine cellar. The last and fourth bedroom is located near the kitchen while the poolside guest room in the pavilion has its own kitchen.

This is not the first time that Kinberg splurged on real estate properties such as a Pacific Palisades-based home. He previously owned the late estate of music manager Caresse Henry who managed the careers of Madonna and even former "American Idol" judge Paula Abdul. Kinberg then decided to sell it to Hollywood mogul David Katzenberg.

According to IMDb, Kinberg has worked in various film projects as a screenwriter and producer such as "Jumper," "This Means Wars" and "Fantastic Four."

His latest film, "The Martian" starring Matt Damon, recently bagged major awards at the Golden Globes 2016 including Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and Best Actor – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy for the "Bourne" franchise actor.

Kinberg's upcoming films are "Deadpool" starring Ryan Reynolds, Channing Tatum-starrer "Gambit" and the latest "X-Men" installment entitled "X-Men: Apocalypse."

Douglas Elliman's Matt and Josh Altman represent the said celebrity homes.
