Celebrity Homes 2016: Andy Warhol, Sarah Palin Homes Hot on the Market

2016 might just be the year for you to spot the best homes where influential people once lived. Included in the market list are the homes of the iconic artist Andy Warhol, the former governor of Alaska Sarah Palin and the late "The Ten Commandments" actor Charlton Heston. These celebrity homes display stunning interiors and a wide landscape but ultimately these homes come with a bulging price tag in the market.

According to OregonLive (via TopTenRealEstateDeals), Warhol's home located in 16 Cliff Drive & 8 Old Montauk Highway was a property that he and movie director Paul Morrissey bought in 1972. The original price of this property then was $225,000 which was an extremely large sum of money at the time. Last 2015, the article added that the house was on the market for $85 million.

Warhol's then property was even regarded as the largest property in Montauk, New York. Based on the outlet, "The estate includes a 3,800-square-foot main house and five cottages totaling almost 15,000 square feet with nine bedrooms and 12 baths."

Currently, the owner Adam Lindemann is also an avid fan of Warhol's works.

Palin on the other hand is selling her "7,971-square-foot brown stucco house" in Scottsdale. The politician bought the property in 2011 with the amount of $1.7 million. Besides the wide area, Palin's house has exceptional inclusions like a gourmet kitchen, some master suites, a rooftop deck and even an outdoor entertainment area.

The late "Planet of the Apes" actor Charlton Heston on the other hand has a multi-million home in Coldwater Canyon, Beverly Hills. This property was evident to most of Heston's life wherein he lived 56 years in the property.

The house of the late "Ben Hur" actor dons some interesting addition. His 9,667 sq. ft. main house includes a "two-story" library and even a three-story artist's studio.
