Josh Hamilton News: Former Angels Outfielder Sells Newport Coast Home for $12.5M

American professional baseball outfielder for the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball Josh Hamilton has sold his palatial mansion located at the guard-gated Crystal Cove Community in New Coast for $12.5 million, a report from Los Angeles Times said.

According to the report, Hamilton's real estate property was designed by famous architect Will Hosband. The house which features elegant Provence-style was built back in 2013. It has six spacious bedrooms and 8.5 bathrooms that sits in more than 11, 000 square feet of living space.

"Open-plan interiors done in beamed ceilings and stone finishes include a formal entry, a center-island kitchen and an office. A two-sided fireplace divides the formal living and dining rooms. The master suite has a large soaking tub, a walk-in closet and one of six fireplaces. A lower entertainment wing sports a game room, a home theater, a wine cellar and a garage with parking for as many as eight cars. An elevator runs between each of the home's three floors. On the main level, sliding doors open to a loggia with a sitting area topped with stone arches. An outdoor kitchen, an infinity-edge swimming pool and spa, fountains and formal landscaping are also within the half-acre setting. Views of the coastline, harbor and surrounding community complete the setting," the report said.

According to real estate property records, Hamilton's palatial home has been introduced to the market back in April 2015 for $16.5 million. The asking price of the property has been recently reduced to $14.9 million. It can be recalled that Hamilton originally bought the residential property several years ago for $12 million.  The sale was managed by Keller Williams Realty with Kevin Aaronson as the listing agent, while Paymal Paul from KR Homes Inc. represented the buyer on sale.

Hamilton's net worth is $40 million," according to Celebrity Net Worth.
