Michael Strahan Secretly Selling Brentwood Property?

Michael Strahan, the retired New York Giants defensive end and co-host of the immensely popular talk show "Live! With Kelly and Michael" with Kelly Ripa, is reportedly marketing his Brentwood, Los Angeles, mansion as a pocket listing.

TMZ broke news of the hush-hush listing citing some real estate sources, who claim that Strahan is extremely attached to the house. They added that Strahan would only sell it if he got something above $23 million for the residence.

Strahan and his now-ex-fiancée Nicole Murphy purchased the home for about $17 million in December, last year. They were renting a $20 million apartment in New York City earlier. In October 2013, the couple was spotted looking at a $25 million penthouse in the city.

Strahan and Murphy also leased a $20 million residence in Beverly Park. The couple sold their Bel Air home for $11 million in August 2013. They made quite a good profit on the sale as they had purchased it for $7.9 million in 2012.

News of the Brentwood property's pocket listing comes just months after Strahan broke up with Murphy. The couple called off their engagement in August and since then, Strahan has got several "serious" offers for the home, but none could match the athlete's demands.

The Brentwood residence is a 15,600 square feet grand residence, comprising of nine bedrooms and 11 full and three half bathrooms.

Pictures of the multi-storeyed home show hardwood flooring, tray ceilings and French doors and windows. The home has spacious, airy interiors and has exclusive features like a large theatre, a snooker room, a state of art gym and a bar area.

Outside, the residence has an infinity pool and a huge portico that provide ample space for recreation.

In the meantime, there were some rumors of Strahan and Murphy getting back together but those fizzled out soon.

"They love each other very much, but with the distance and work schedule it has been hard to maintain the relationship," a spokesperson for Strahan told People Magazine about the reason of their split.
