'Oculus Rift' News, Update, Release Dates: Touch Controller To Be Released Second Half Of 2016

Here's a new report from the much hyped Oculus Rift VR headset. According to Oculus' recent announcement, the Touch controller for the Rift VR headset will be delayed. The company said that instead of the scheduled release of first half of 2016, the controller will now ship in the year's second half.

According to a blog post that the company posted, they said that they need more time to perfect the Touch controller. They also put in focus on the device's hardware and ergonomics to make sure that the Touch becomes more comfortable. In fact, Oculus said that what they aim for in the Touch controller is for it to become reliable, natural, and comfortable. They even specified on making the device sport an improved hand pose recognition.

The controller will be available for pre orders months before its launch and the Rift headset still has the same release schedule which is within the first quarter of 2016. Pre orders for the Rift will also take place really soon.
