Tom Cruise Lists Colorado Mega Estate for $59 Million

Tom Cruise, the "Mission Impossible" actor, has reportedly put his Telluride, Colo., estate up for sale with a $59 million price tag.

The Wall Street Journal first reported the estate hitting the market noting that Bill Fandel of Sotheby's International Realty was the listing agent. Cruise has owned the home for more than a decade now. He reportedly updated the home through the years after he finished building it in 1994.

Fandel told the Journal that Cruise was selling because he hasn't been using it much. This is the same home that Cruise opened up to Oprah Winfrey for an exclusive interview.

Take a look at a part of the interview below:

The 298-acre estate, as you can see in the above video, is snugly located in the lap of the mountains. The main house spans an area of 10,000 square feet and has four bedrooms and six bathrooms. A recreation room, a gym and a library are a part of the house.

The estate also has a 1,600-square-foot guest house that has three bedrooms and bathrooms. Exterior features include a huge sports court allotted for tennis, ice hockey and basketball. Check out more photos of the home here.

Cruise and his model/actress wife Katie Holmes were still together when Oprah interviewed him in the house. The "Knight and Day" actor got to keep the mansion during their divorce, while Holmes reportedly got a Montecito, Calif., home in the break up among other things according to their prenup, according to The Daily Mail.

After the divorce, Holmes moved to New York City, living in the Chelsea neighborhood with their daughter Suri. But more recently, Holmes and Suri moved to Los Angeles buying a $3.79 million mansion in the area.

According to the TMZ, Holmes moved because she thought Calabasas is a good neighborhood to bring Suri up and also because she wants to focus on her career as well. In a recent interview with DuJour Magazine that she was living a normal life in New York City and her acting lull was not because of Tom Cruise.
