Trevor Cahill of Chicago Cubs Snags $2.75M Home in Paradise Valley

American professional baseball pitcher Trevor Cahill just re-signed with the Chicago Cubs for the 2016 season, but formerly played for Arizona Diamonbacks, and while he has bid goodbye to the team, he is leaving one foot in Arizona with his recent acquisition of a property in the area, Realtor reports.

The 27-year-old right-hander pitcher paid $2.75 million for an updated modern in Paradise Valley. The seven-year veteran may be switching roles as a starting pitcher to reliever in the Windy City.

And talking about conversions, the new home that Cahill recently bought was originally built in 1994, but based on the listing, the six-bedroom, six-bathroom estate has undergone a full facelift in 2015, which probably made the deal very appealing for the athlete.

Unfortunately, there haven't been interior photos of the home in circulation, but there is an undercover video of the All-Star pitcher's new digs that Realtor was able to find. Based on the video, the estate boasts an open floor plan which is perfect for entertaining fellow baseball stars for after-season celebrations or simply relaxing after a game.

Cahill may be a fan of modern design, as the home features seriously sleek modern touches, which include a glassed-in wine cellar and wet bar - now that's something fit for a baseball All-Star player.

Moving to the living room, the house features a possibly gigantic TV in the middle which stands out, thanks to the stylish mosaic frame backdrop that it's designed with. For the cold winter days, everyone can Netflix and chill in the living room while being kept warm by the electronic fireplace just under the TV.

Delve deeper into the pitcher's estate, there is a large covered porch which serves as shield from the scorching Arizona sun. But the hotter days won't be much of a problem, as the estate also features a swimming pool that comes with fountains that feed into the in-ground water amenity.

If anything, Cahill bagged a home that seems like the ultimate spot to relax and take a break from a long season of toeing the rubber.
