Celebrity Real Estate: Jonah Hill Spotted Taking Photos Outside the Schumacher, the New NoHo Condo Conversion

Jonah Hill appears to be looking for a new pad in the newly unveiled Noho condo at 36 Bleecker Street. About three years ago, the actor purchased a Soho loft for $2.65 million at 27 Howard Street, but he listed it on the market for a hefty $3.8 million in August 2014. And he reduced the price again to $3.5 million last March. Now a tipster has seen him taking photos outside The Schumacher, the new Noho condo conversion at 36 Bleecker Street.

Designed by Edward E. Raht to house the Schumacher and Ettinger Lithography Studio, the seven-story, red-brick building was finished in 1883. Architect Morris Adjmi was chosen to restore the Queen Anne Victoria and Romanesque Revival-style facade in 2012. This followed the payment of $45 million for the building by Stillman Development.

According to 6sqft news, the 21-unit condo building has started to go into contract three years ago, with art collector Alberto Mugrabi bought two triplexes for $11 and $10 million each. Mr. Mugrabi also has some of his collection on display in the vine-covered courtyard of the building. The building features great amenities that include fitness center, landscaped roof, and children's play room, library, and bicycle storage.

Nobody knows as to what unit Jonah checked out. But it's probably one of the six units that are currently available. The first three units include a five-bedroom, 4,480-square-foot penthouse for $20 million; four-bedroom, 3,527-square-foot penthouse for $10.5 million; and three-bedroom, 2,991-square-foot unit for $8.3 million. The other three units have three bedrooms each ranging from$8.5 to $9.5 million is currently in contract.

On other 6sqft news, the cast iron building which was built in 1915 have six floors and six apartments. Jonah purchased a unit from that building in 2012, just as his acting career started to prosper, and now that he's made it to the Hollywood big leagues, he's likely going to gear up his venture in real estate. Jonah Hills also owns a two-bedroom apartment at the Lofts at Laurel Court in West Hollywood.
