Ryan Serhant of ‘Million Dollar Listing’ Buys in the Big Apple

Ryan Serhant, the star broker of the Bravo hit TV series "Million Dollar Listing New York", has reportedly purchased a penthouse atop the Renwick Modern Building in New York City for $3.7 million.

Listing records at Sreeteasy show that the apartment is still under contract but sources told The Real Deal that Serhant was indeed the buyer of the penthouse. Serhant even went ahead to drop a hint on Instagram that showed him signing a contract. He captioned the picture metioning his fiancée Emilia Bechrakis:

"It's not every day you buy a penthouse, so thank you @dietcoke for the motivation. Also...surprise Emilia!"

Serhant has been taking up projects on the building himself. He is apparently representing several other apartments in the building and must have gotten really enticed by the luxury of the apartment and bought one himself. Speaking of the location of the building, Serhant told The Real Deal via phone: "I've always been bullish on the area. You bet on the future, not on today."

The residence that Serhant purchased is a 1,895-square-foot penthouse comprising of three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. The interiors of the home feature dark hardwood floors, large glass windows that provide for beautiful views of the city and an open floor plan.

The floor plan shows the entrance opening into a large gallery that has the living room on the left and the master bedroom to the right.

The home has two terraces opening out to the east and west. The home also has an office and a modern kitchen. You can see more pictures of the home here. The couple is apparently renovating the place.

Serhant posted a picture of an under-redo "master bedroom" captioning the picture: "Our master bedroom in the new apartment. Isn't it beautiful? @emilia_bechrakis loves how bright and open it is."

Serhant recently caught interational headlines after he shut down Times Square for an hour to propose to Emilia.

"No one has ever done something like this. But I'm only going to propose once in my life, so I wanted to make sure that I did something special," Ryan told E! News exclusively.

"It worked! This is the most incredible day! Words really can't describe what I'm feeling," he added.

Congratulations to the to-be bride and groom - not only on the wedding, but also the new apartment!
