"Fifty Shades Darker" star Jamie Dornan is ranked second in Internet Movie Database's Hottest Male Actor title.
After losing the People's Magazine Sexiest Man Alive title to David Beckham, Dornan ranked second to Tom Hardy in IMDb's Hottest Male Actor title, Irish Independent reported. Not even his steamy scenes in the cult film "Fifty Shades Darker" could save the actor from ranking second, yet again.
On the other hand, the 33-year-old Irish actor got past A-listers like Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, and Tom Cruise in this yearly rankings tabulated by the leading film website around the globe. The said category is based on the number of visitors who checked on the actors' page on a daily basis.
Dornan's career skyrocketed because of his portrayal as Christian Grey in the cult film "Fifty Shades of Grey." Following the release of the movie and a prior to that, the Irish actor gained instant fame. Even to this day, news articles focusing on the life and career of "The Fall" star get a lot of views from his fans.
While Dornan was not able to clinch the top spot for IMDb's hottest male actor, he was dubbed by the site as 2015's Irish actor with the biggest star power.
The third spot for hottest male actor went to Chris Pratt, whose career also boosted after starring in major films, "Guardians of the Galaxy" and summer's blockbuster hit "Jurassic World."
In November, though, the "Beyond the Rave" actor lost People's Magazine Sexiest Man Alive to soccer legend, David Beckham. In spite of the fact that Dornan starred in the hottest film of 2015, he could not take the title from the former England Football Team Captain.
Dornan will next be seen in "The Siege of Jadotville" slated to be released in 2016. He will also start filming "Fifty Shades Darker" early next year.
