‘Digimon Adventure tri.’ News: 1st Film Rakes In 218 Million Yen; Hulu Gets Distribution of Its Anime Series?

"Digimon Adventure tri." First film rakes in 218 million yen. On the other hand, the anime series of the franchise will be distributed by Hulu.

According to Anime News Network, "Digimon Adventure tri." First chapter has sold out 139,408 tickets for 218 million yen or about US$1.80 million. The figure is based on Dec. 16 sales. As noted, the movie was released on Nov. 20.

ANN says that the theatrical run of "Digimon Adventure tri." is also being extended. It has been said that the original plan is to have the film run for 3 weeks but not more than 4 weeks.

"Digimon Adventure tri." had sold 36,000 tickets for 59 million yen in its first two days. That's about US$480,000. For its first 16 days of theatrical, the sales had risen already to 110,000 tickets for 180 million yen, which was equivalent to US$1.5 million more or less.

As for the 2nd installment of "Digimon Adventure tri.," it is already slated on March 12, 2016. Both films will have a DVD and BR releases. For the first film, it has already been released on Dec. 18. And for the 2nd film, it will available at retailers on April 2.

Fandom Post on the other hand says that "Toei Animation has now brought the four episode run of Digimon Adventure Tri to Hulu," after it wrapped up from Crunchyroll last month.

Report says that the project did excellently in its initial distribution in Japan television. As of the moment, fans are patiently waiting for its second season together with the 2nd film, "Digimon Adventure Tri: Ketsu."

Based on the report, the 4 episode of the anime series of Digimon Adventure are now set for its American viewers. It guarantees that those who subscribe to Hulu will be able to what the anime series in HD either on their computer, mobile gadgets, and of course TV set.
