Clay Walker Discounts Texas Beach House Price to $995,000

Clay Walker, the hat-sporting, bike-riding famous country singer, has once again given his Texas beach house a price chopper listing it for $995,000.

Walker first put the home on market in 2013 for $1.2 million. He reduced the price in November that year to $1.15 million, but in vain. He again reduced the asking to $1.05 million in July, this year and finally decided to knock off a few more dollars off the list price in August, making it the latest price chop.

Listed with Kelly Kelley of ReMax Texas, the residence is a 2,918-square-foot five-bedroom, three bathroom place, sitting on a 0.25-acre lot.

Interiors of the house feature stone-tiled and carpeted flooring, drywall ceilings and large wooden doors.

Living spaces include a formal double-height drawing room, a family room, a dining space and a kitchen with a mid-rise island and granite counter-tops.

Upstairs, the home has the bedrooms, each with en-suite bathrooms and a deck that offers beautiful views of the ocean and the horizon.

Outside, the home has a swimming pool and a hot tub on the front deck, a large parking space, open patios and ample water frontage as well.

The listing describes the home as "truly one of a kind with all of its amenities & unbelievable views of both the Gulf & Bay. Every room has a water view. Some Furniture conveys."

Clay walker released his debut album in 1993 and since then he has sold more than 10 albums and is a multi-platinum artist. But, Walker is also recognized for his considerable charity work, raising money for Multiple Sclerosis - a condition he was diagnosed with in his twenties.

"I lived in fear of dying for the first two years. And now I don't have any fear at all," Walker said in an interview with Taste of Country.

"It's like right now, I wanna find a cure. I went from devastation over [possibly dying and leaving] my daughter to now, I'm the father of a 5-month-old son ... it was a very big mountain to climb and I'm still climbing it. But I definitely feel like I can see the top now," he added.
