5 Celebs Who Are Budding Real Estate Tycoons

When you thought that being in Hollywood is just all about drama and tabloid scandals, think again. It might surprise you to know what some of the big (and not so big) stars are busy with when they are not under the spotlight. With their abundant fortunes, some of the celebrities have chosen to bring their riches to the real estate market, Trulia reports.

The following are just some of the many celebs who are building themselves to become future real estate tycoons:

Jack Osbourne

Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne's hard-partying metalhead son Jack Osbourne has definitely moved on from his young and reckless days. Now married with two children, Jack has the celebrity home to match his fit and trim life. Their home in Hollywood that they bought for $2.82 million back in 2011 sold just after a month of being on the market and at $202,000 over asking price. Not bad at all!

Naya Rivera

Looks like Glee star Naya Rivera has real estate in their family business. After a year in her $1.93 million Beverly Hills, CA home that she bought in 2012, she sold it for $1.93 million in 2013 and guess who she had as her listing agent - her mother! Apart from making money out of the sale, she sure saved quite a sum from not having to hire an agent. Naya then proceeded buying a five-bed, four-bathroom LA home in the Los Feliz neighborhood for $2.6 million.

Sia

Much like her song, Sia is swinging from chandeliers all over Los Angeles. Aside from producing hit songs, the Australian singer is also scoring big in her real estate portfolio, owning homes in LA's Palm Springs and Los Feliz, she bought an A.F. Leight-design home for $4.7 million which she ended up selling 6 months after for $4.99 million. According to the grapevine, the listing is still pending, but Sia didn't have to wait for the sale as she was spotted moving into a Hollywood home.

Michael Strahan

If there's anyone who knows how to make the most profit out of buying and selling a home, it's probably everyone's fave gap-toothed football player-turned-TV-host Michael Strahan. Strahan was successfully able to make easy $3 million from selling his Bel-Air home that he bought only a year ago for $7.9 million. Rumor has it that the property was sold as is, and was worth so much because of its location.

Jonah Hill

The Wolf of Wall Street actor has got his Moneyball game going. Bought in 2010 for $1.865 million, Jonah Hill listed his Laurel Canyon Home for $2.99 million in October and made the sale for more than the asking price - $3.65 million.
