Patrick Peterson Lists Arizona Home for $1.89 Million

Patrick Peterson, the return specialist and cornerback for NFL team Arizona Cardinals, has reportedly listed his Gilbert, Ariz., home for $1.89 million.

The Los Angeles Times broke news of the deal noting that Chuck Fazio of West USA Realty Revelation is representing the star cornerback.

Public records at Zillow show that Peterson purchased the home for just $1.29 million in 2011, his rookie year with the NFL after the Cardinals signed him in the fifth overall NFL draft for five years.

And now, though Peterson has his home listed, we don't expect him to be leaving Arizona anytime soon because he just signed a five-year extension contract with the team for $70 million and has reportedly already received a $15.3 million signing bonus.

The home in question here is a Tuscan mansion that spans an area of 8,341 square feet and has six bedrooms and eight bathrooms.

Interiors of the residence boast of hardwood, tiled and carpeted floors along with high drywall ceilings and floor-to-ceiling glass windows. Arched hallways and huge wooden doors adorn the home too.

Living spaces include formal living and dining rooms, a great room and a family room. The residence also has a wet bar, a gym, a billiards room, a screening theater and a massive gourmet kitchen with a mid-rise island and granite counter tops.

Outside, the home has a basketball court, a separate detached garage and guest house. There is a pool with a separate spa and ample lounging areas around.

The listing describes the place as "pure luxury living at its best in this breathtaking Mediterranean style home!"

Of late, Peterson hasn't been performing too well. In the latest game against the New York Giants, he "allowed four catches for 33 yards and a touchdown," AZCentral reports. He also bumped into an official after he was called for three penalties.

"Just as far as self-esteem, keeping my head, I let the refs get to me and I didn't compose myself right," Peterson admitted.

"The refs are calling the game correctly for the most part, but as DBs, you've just got to eventually play within the rules and it's definitely something that's been reinforced this offseason. You've just got to win fair, keep my hands off 'em, and play within the guidelines and practice that habit," he added.

Peterson may be headed towards a possible fine.
