Former Florida Home of Ivan Lendl to Hit Market for $21.5 Million

A home that was once occupied by tennis great Ivan Lendl is poised to hit the market for $21.5 million.

The Wall Street Journal broke news of the upcoming listing noting that Cristina Condon of Sotheby's International Realty is the listing agent.

Public records show that the home is currently owned by William J. Condren, an investor and horse breeder, who purchased the place from Lendl in 1995 for $5 million.

The residence had come up for sale once in 2010 for $19.8 million, but was de-listed soon.

The residence in question is a 9,200-square-foot Mediterranean-style house, comprising of four bedrooms and five full and two half bathrooms. The house provides 150 feet of water frontage.

Previous photos of the home show vaulted tray and drywall ceilings, French windows and doors and carpeted flooring throughout.

The home has several sitting areas, an office with a library and a modern kitchen. The master suite has a sitting room and fire place of its own.

A pool, a loggia surrounded by lush gardens adorned with a fountain and ample parking spaces make up the exteriors of the house.

Meanwhile, Lendl's Connecticut mansion is currently on the market for $19.75 million. Born in Czechoslovakia, Lendl took up U.S. citizenship in 1991 and has owned the Conn. house for quite some time.

Recently, Lendl was in news after he and star player Andy Murray declared that they were officially ending their partnership. Lendl coached Murray through two grand slam titles and an Olympic gold medal.

"Working with Andy over the last two years has been a fantastic experience. He is a first-class guy. I will always be in Andy's corner and wish him nothing but great success," Lendl was quoted by The Telegraph.

Now, word has it that Lendl could become coach to Tomas Berdych.

"It's something which I was thinking about, definitely," Berdych was quoted by The Guardian. "I think [it] just needs probably the right time and timing to make it happen. Let's see," he added.
