It seems it was just yesterday and yet, power couple Blake Lively and Ryan Reynold's daughter, James, is already one year old.
The birth date of the baby girl was not known until she turned on, something her parents kept from fans and the press. US Weekly reports that Lively, star of "Gossip Girl" and "Green Lantern" films, gave birth around this time of the year but the actual date was left on the speculating public.
Ryan Reynolds, 39, who also starred in the "Green Lantern" opposite his now wife, Lively, posted a tweet on Wednesday, Dec. 16, saying, "Happy birthday to my baby girl! Sad I lost my virginity. But thankful I have a daughter."
The famous parents have managed to keep the little one away from the press and have only been posting the cutest fingers and toes in some instances. It can be recalled that James' Instagram debut was when her father posted her hand and his thumb, as if thumb wrestling, captioned, "Thumb wrestling isn't always fair. Curiously, my hand is the small one."
Another photo was posted, this time showing James' feet as posted by Lively. It caused a stir because observers noted that the baby was not secured. Reynolds acknowledged the fact in an interview but he said the baby was not secured in the vessel he was carrying. He also admitted during an interview with the Today show. He added that he's a first time dad and it is not the first mistake he'd make and he'd make some more.
Reynolds is a doting dad, as evidenced of the interview with GQ was back in October. He gushed, "I have no problem waking up five times in the middle of the night and changing diapers, and as exhausted as you get, I have this stupid grin on my face all the time."
Reynolds and Lively tied the know in September 2012.
