Live Like Jack Lemmon for $12,500 a Month

The Malibu home of "Grumpy Old Man" Jack Lemmon is being offered for rent at $12,500 a month.

Lemmon's widow Felicia Farr has put the home on the market as the summer takes off in full swing. The summer time is usually the season of rental flurries.

Last year, many screen personalities like Matthew Perry and Steven Spielberg had put their Malibu abodes for rent asking $40,000 a month and $125,000 a month, respectively. This year, producer Brian Grazer's home is being offered for $175,000 a month and Lee Majors' house is also available for $75,000 a month.

Supermodel Cindy Crawford also has one of her properties up for rent asking $45,000 a month from June to August. It was also available for $19,500 a month from September 2013 to May this year.

Robert Dornhelm's beachfront home in the area is also available for $29,500 a month. Comparing the upscale celebrity residences, Lemmon's home is a lot more affordable.

It is also the prefect summer retreat. The 2,560-square-foot single-family house has three large bedrooms and three bathrooms.

The beautiful exposed brick façade of the beachfront house gives it a pretty old school charm while providing for modern facilities inside.

Interiors feature beautiful wooden flooring and beamed ceilings with a fireplace in the libing area. The home has French doors and floor-to-ceiling glass windows for enough ventilation and light.

There is a modern kitchen, an expansive library and a playroom. There is a separate dining area as well.

Outside, the house has a stone-lined lagoon-like swimming pool, ample recreation areas, decks that open out from the bedrooms and access to the sandy beach.

The home is being represented by Chris Cortazzo. The description reads:

"This 3 bedroom - 2 with ocean views - and 3 bath home is located on beautiful Broad Beach. Includes a detached guest house above the garage with rooftop deck and ocean views, pool and private grassy courtyard. Short distance to coffee shop and grocery market. This is the perfect home to relax and view those Malibu sunsets."
