Chris Pratt Lived in ‘Scooby Doo’ Van in Hawaii Before Stardom (PHOTO)

Chris Pratt's, the "Guardians of the Galaxy" star, rags to riches story is quite interesting. The actor whose net worth is about $4 million currently was once a homeless man living in a van in Maui, Hawaii before he struck it big.

On Saturday, Pratt posted a throwback picture from his homeless days on Facebook that featured him, his unique white van with a "Scooby Doo" and "Shaggy" sticker and the script of a movie that changed his life.

"Can't believe I found this picture!!! That is the van I lived in!!! In my hand is the script for the movie that got me out of Maui. Crazy. - at Lahaina, Maui Hawaii," he captioned the picture.

In an earlier interview with The Independent, Pratt opened up about his homeless days in Hawaii adding that it was "pretty awesome place to be homeless" in. He recalled the days he lived in the van, a tent or out in the open on the beach.

"It would be different if I lived on the streets of Chicago and ate garbage from a dumpster. We just drank and smoked weed and worked minimal hours, 15-20 hours per week, just enough to cover gas, food and fishing supplies. You know, it was charming time," he recounted.

Pratt apparently waited tables at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, where he first met actress Rae Dawn Chong, who after a short conversation, decided to cast him in her directorial debut "Cursed Part III."

Pratt has come a long way since then. The "Parks and Recreations" star now lives in a 4,710-square-foot house in Hollywood Hills along with actress wife Anna Faris. The couple bought the home last year from Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino for $3.3 million.

Just a month later, Pratt and Faris listed their other Hollywood Hills home for $2.29 million. The home is a 2,563-square-foot single-family residence, comprising of three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Interiors of the home feature hardwood flooring, wood-framed glass doors and windows and wood beamed ceilings.

It is currently off the market.
