Christie Brinkley Discounts Price of Turks and Caicos Island Home to $9 Million

Christie Brinkley, the famous model, has reportedly knocked off a few dollars from the asking price of her home on the Turks and Caicos Island - a 238-square-meter British isle near the Bahamas - and re-listed it for $9 million.

Brinkley first listed the house in 2013 for $10.75 million. However, failing to find a buyer over the past months, the price has been reduced.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Brinkley purchased the house sometime in the 2000s. She now wants to sell because she wants to do some "adventure travelling".

The property - Lucky House - is being marketed by Nina Siegenthaler of Sotheby's International Realty. The residence is being sold fully-furnished. Before putting the home up for sale, Brinkley was renting it out at $8,107 a day.

Listing records of the home state that the residence is a 3,400-sqare-foot single-family home, comprising of three bedrooms and three and half bathrooms.

The residence is a part of the luxury Parrot Cay resort that spans an area of 1.000 plus square feet. The house is just a stone's throw away from Bruce Willis' home, Curbed reports.

The house offers beautiful views of the ocean and has access to private bay frontage. Interiors of the home feature high beamed ceilings, an open floor plan with hardwood flooring and large glass doors and windows.

There is a modern living area, a chef's kitchen and airy bedrooms inside the house. Outside, there is a luxury pool with ample lounging space and a covered patio with a swing. There is a guest house and staff quarters as well.

The listing describes the space as "a true retreat within a retreat".

Earlier this year, it was reported that Brinkley was contemplating on putting up her Bridgehampton home on the market again. Apparently, the Tower Hills Estate in the Hamptons has gone on and off the market several times before and it last listed for a lofty 430 million.

In 2013, Brinkley sold her North Haven home to Stuart Hersch, president of Cantor Fitzgerald - a popular investment firm in the United States, for $10 million. She not only sold it for more than its asking, but also traded only on a condition that Peter Cook, her ex-husband who designed the house, would never be hired to renovate the home.

Word has it that Brinkley is currently working on a book that will focus on fitness, vitality and diet. The 60-year-old former model is still in the pink of her health. In her hey days, she was the most successful in her industry and was named the third richest model by Daily Mail in 2012.
