Orlando Magic’s Ben Gordon Selling Michigan Mansion for $4.18 Million

Benjamin "Ben" Gordon, the shooting guard for NBA team "Orlando Magic," has reportedly listed his house in Rochester, Mich., for $4.18 million.

Public records show that Gordon purchased the home in 2009, the year he joined the Detroit Pistons. He signed a five-year, $55-million deal with the Pistons and played with them until 2012. While with the team, Gordon scored the 10-millionth point in NBA history.

After leaving the Pistons, Gordon joined the Charlotte Bobcats and after a year's lackluster stint with the team, he was waived off in 2013.

Gordon signed on with the Orlando Magic in July this year and signed a $9 million, two-year contract with the team.

"I'm really excited. You know, it'll be my 11th year in the league, been around a while, so every time you go into a new opportunity, it's a great opportunity. Just looking to revitalize myself; come here and assist the young guys. I think they've got a lot of great, young talent and they just need some veteran guys around them to kind of help them along the way. So, I'm looking to come in, contribute and just looking forward to a great opportunity," Gordon was quoted telling OrlandoMagic.Com writer John Denton.

To mark new beginnings, Gordon has decided to do away with parts of the past. The mansion in question here is a huge 13,928-square-foot, single-family, multi-winged house comprised of six bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms.

Boasting of a grey façade the house features French doors and windows, high ceilings and hardwood and marble flooring.

A driveway leads up to the entrance of the house, which opens into a double height foyer with a grand marble staircase right ahead.

There are formal living rooms, dining spaces, a modern kitchen with a breakfast bar and granite counter-tops. There is an office, a study, a sitting room, a recreation room, a gym, a media room, an indoor basketball and training room, a bar and many more amenities packed inside the luxury residence.

Outside, the home has a pool with spas, a kids' play area, and another basketball court. The property also offers an attached four-car garage.

Karen Walls of RE/MAX South Michigan is the listing agent and the property is described as a "Magnificent luxury estate in a private gated community surrounded by multi-million dollar estates."
