'Kingdom of Hearts 3' News, Release Date, Update: D23 Expo Japan 2015 Off-screen Footage Revealed, Available Next Month?

"Kingdom Hearts 3" is one of the most anticipated games but Square Enix recently revealed that it will be delayed for release. Meanwhile, a short clip of the game is leaked online.

It is reported that such delay has affected the interest of gamers since it falls out of the top list from Famitsu after the announcement. It was suggested that its ranking decreased because "it seems as if the wait for 'Kingdom Hearts 3' has actually hurt its popularity," GamingBolt noted.

But the latest list from Famitsu this week shows that "Kingdom Hearts 3" has regained a spot on the top 10 grabbing the 7th place for the most popular PS4 games.

According to reports, Square Enix will release "Kingdom Hearts 3" in 2016 since Amazon included it on its list of upcoming video games that will be released next month, Yibada reported.

But said report may not be true because the Amazon listing says that "Kingdom Hearts 3" is for pre-order for a retail price of $59.96 for PS4 and $59.00 for Xbox One with a note that says, "This item will be released on December 30, 2016." It also shows that the release date of the game will be on Dec. 31, 2016 and the closest shipping day will be on Dec. 30, 2016. But it also added that there is "no actual release date confirmed at this time" and the seller apologizes for "any confusion this may have caused."

With that, the game, which will feature Disney Worlds will obviously be released next year. The game is also speculated to be the final chapter of the "Dark Seeker" saga.

Meanwhile, a six seconds footage from the new Kingdom Hearts III trailer was showcased at D23 Expo Japan 2015 last month showing the new "Attraction Flow" technique called the “Shooting Ride.” The clip shows that it is based on the "Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters" ride. It features Sora, Donald, and Goofy jump into the ride’s cart while wearing a pair of goggles.

"Kingdom Hearts 3" is currently developed for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
