Report: Most CEOs Live in Florida

California might be home to the glitzy Hollywood stars, but when it comes to bespectacled (or not) business masterminds, Florida is their favorite place to live in.

A new report by The Wall Street Journal's Spread Sheet section found that "The Sunshine State" is where most CEOs flock to. To arrive at the list, Spread Sheet sourced its data from the U.S. census bureau.

According to the report, five of the top most popular real estate markets for chief executives are in Florida. Experts say that the state's attractive tax incentive (there is no individual income tax) attracts wealthy buyers from other parts of the US.

While five markets of Florida dominate the list, Colorado, Connecticut and California follow in closely.

Below is the list of markets with the percentage of resident CEOs living in the area:

1.      Bridgeport-Norwalk-Stamford, Conn. - 1.82 percent

2.      Boulder, Colo. - 1.45 percent

3.      Sebastian-Vero Beach, Fla. - 1.37 percent

4.      Naples-Marco Island, Fla. - 1.28 percent

5.      Cape Coral - Fort Myers, Fla. - 1.27 percent

6.      Oxnard-Thousand Oaks-Ventura, Calif - 1.21 percent

7.      Fort Lauderdale - Pompano Beach - Deerfield Beach, Fla. - 1.20 percent

8.      North Port - Bradenton - Sarasota, Fla. - 1.20 percent

9.      Barnstable Town, Mass. - 1.13 percent

10.  San Jose- Sunnyvale- Santa Clara, Calif. - 1.10 percent

More recently, two cities in Colorado made it to the top ten of Forbes' "Best Places for Business."

In a separate but fictional report, Redfin found which billionaire could afford which city.

"In this fictional real estate investment, the 30 billionaires on our list, with a combined fortune of $582 billion, could afford to own a staggering 6 percent of the total U.S. home equity," Nela Richardson, chief economist at Redfin said in a statement.
