Flynn Ranch “House A” Listed For $4.25 Million

Flynn Ranch "House A" on the Los Angeles ranch of Hollywood legend Errol Flynn has been listed on the market for $4.25 million. This is one of the four residences that have been subjected to modernist experiments by renowned architect Phil Brown.

The 3,400-square-foot house, located close to big Hollywood movie studios, features four bedrooms and five baths. The property, spread on just a half acre land, boasts of cantilevered floors, hardwoods, a theater with 35mm projection, a wine cellar, a glittering pool and delicious patios - reflecting the true personality of Flynn, Realtor reports.

The residence offers breathtaking view of the valley and the San Gabriel Mountains from every window and vantage point of the house.

In a career spanning over 28 years, Flynn is mostly remembered for his romantic swashbuckler roles in Hollywood films and his playboy lifestyle. Besides his famous portrayal of Robin Hood, he shared screen space with two-time Oscar winners Olivia de Havilland and Bette Davis.

Oscar winner Kevin Kline recently portrayed Flynn on screen in The Last of Robin Hood. The movie is about the last days of Flynn's life and his relationship with 17-year-old actress Beverly Aadland, up to his death in 1959, at age 50, due to heart attack. Flynn's last days were marked by incidences of drug and alcohol abuse, Filmonic reports.

Flynn was apparently enjoying a drink and entertaining Vancouver Society with his globetrotting tales just hours before his death.

"It seemed, I thought at the time, an ignominious end for a famous movie star," Vancouver coroner Glen McDonald said. "But that's life. That's death," National Post reports.
