This RV Is All About Form and Function

This 170-square foot home RV is tagged as the ultimate man pad on wheels.

The Escape Sport RV, the newest design by the same makers as the ESCAPE Traveler and Travel XL, is growing as the most coveted recreational vehicle. It is practically rugged, suited for the outdoors, but has that classy industrial design that goes great with urban setting.

The portable home that weighs about 5,000 pounds can house a maximum of 4 people, and like most modern houses, it has an eco-friendly design. According to Digital Trends, it features a steel frame, aluminum siding, weather resistant wood, thermopane windows and insulated floors. It has a kitchen that has an induction cooktop, a mini fridge, a stainless steel sink, and wood countertops. You also have an option to include a metal shower. The team guarantees that getting water and power for your RV will be very easy. You may also go for a solar power system for your electricity, and gray water or fresh water hookups for your water needs.

For fancier amenities, an advanced electric fireplace is an option, and a mini home theater including mounted flatscreen TV and a BluRay player could be set up for your viewing pleasure.

Owner of ESCAPEHomes Dan Dobrowolski says the RV is perfect for those who love adventure. "We're veterans and sportsmen, we love the outdoors and we need the wilderness. ESCAPE Sport is tough, durable, strong and designed to handle it all," he shares.

The design of ESCAPE is based on the Prairie style cottages also from Dobrowolski's resort in northern Wisconsin. His team sold replicas of the cottages, and they also created other portable houses on wheels.

According to its website, Escape Sport prices range from $39,000 to $45,400. Despite its huge price tag, many are considering to buy this portable home because of its rich form and function.
