Petra Ecclestone Stunt Wants to Sell Spelling Manor for $150 Million

Petra Ecclestone-Stunt, the billionaire heiress of Formula One mogul Bernie Ecclestone, is reportedly in search for a buyer for her humongous Los Angeles mansion, which she bought from famous TV persona Candy Spelling.

Petra is reportedly shopping the mansion around as a pocket listing and has it priced at $150 million. She has given the listing to a select few realtors in the area, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Candy and Aaron Spelling built the residence to their own whims and fancies installing gift-wrapping rooms, doll museums and other interesting features. However, when Spelling sold it to Petra for $85 million (after several attempts of unloading it at $150 million), the racing heiress took to re-hauling every single room of the house.

Petra reportedly spent $20 million and more on the renovation. She hired interior decorator Gavin Brodin and employed 500 workers to revamp the whole mansion. She added some of her own ridiculous features to the house like twin statues of a bikini-clad Pamela Anderson, velvet and crystals embedded in the walls and a coat of arms for designed by Brodin himself, reported Curbed.

And now, Petra wants to cash in on all the sophistications she added to the house and has it priced at the same $150 million Spelling was initially looking to sell it for. She moved to the Holmby Hills mansion after she married her boyfriend of four years - James Stunt.

A source told Forbes that Petra is looking to earn at least $65 million on the renovations. Apparently, it is the most expensive off-market listing of the country and one of the largest private residences of Los Angeles. If she manages to sell it off for her asking price, it will be the most expensive sale to go down in the history of the United States.

Located in the posh Holmby Hills area, the home currently covers 56,000 square feet and has 14 bedrooms and 27 bathrooms.

The home's elaborate features include a bowling alley, a nightclub-themed basement, a salon and massage spa, a game room, a wine cellar, a tasting room, an office, a library, a theater, a bar and much more.

Outside, the home has rolling greens, a tennis court, an infinity pool, a 100-car parking garage and a motor court line with fountains.

Early last year, Petra listed the London townhouse that Bernie Ecclestone had built for her. The residence is a stucco fashioned white stone home with a glamorous touch to it, located in the posh area of Eaton Square, Belgravia. While there is no intel on the current status of that home, it was listed for $52 million.

In an earlier interview with The Independent, Petra's father Bernie Ecclestone said he disapproves of Petra and her sister Tamara's spending habits. However, he justified that his girls were businesswomen who knew how to flip for profits.

"...actually, all the properties that my daughters have bought they could sell today for big profits so any handbags and shoes they have bought fall into insignificance," he said.
