After the shocking mid-season finale of "Grimm" Season 5, executive producers have explained the reason behind Juliette's (Bitsie Tulloch) return and what fans can expect when the show comes back after the break.
During the mid-season finale, fans thought they would be celebrating Juliette's return, but it turned out that it was actually Eve in her body. Christian Post reports that Eve is described as a mysterious woman who is working with Hadrian's Wall. It was also said that Eve can access Juliette's memories but lacks emotional attachment to it.
In an interview with actress Tulloch, she revealed that Eve's look is a bit more dramatic since she can't be seen by people who know Juliette. She added that Eve will be Hadrian Wall's most prized weapon in his battle against the Black Claw, and she will put a stop to the Wesen uprisings.
Meanwhile, Christian Today reports that in an interview with TV Line, creators James Kouf and David Greenwalt hinted that there will be a huge confrontation scene between Eve and Nick (David Giuntoli). They added that Nick will later realize that Eve is not Juliette and that they are two different people. With Eve's character coming to light, it is expected that fans will know more about the truth behind what happened after the Season 4 finale.
The creators also added that Eve will have a greater presence in the second half of the season, and fans will be able to see how the new character will come to life. In the official synopsis for the mid-season premiere episode, Nick will act as the Grimm to stop the global plan to end humanity. Nick is the only one who has the keys to survival.
"Grimm" Season 5 is now on a holiday break, but it is expected to return on Jan. 22, 2016.
