Turning a home into a gingerbread house is a unique holiday fun activity. The talented Christine McConnell of Highland, CA is a visual artist and photographer who transformed her parents' entire house into outrageous home.
The spectacle was spotted in an online community, Reddith of which McConnell is a member. McConnell regularly impresses members of Reddit and her 223,000 followers on Instragram with pictures on her creative projects raking in scores of likes and up-votes.
According to the Realtor report, McConnell spent more than 100 hours to transform her parents' home into gingerbread house for the winter holiday season.
"The story of Hansel and Gretel has been a lifelong favorite of mine, and since gingerbread houses are so popular this time of year, I thought I'd combine the two," McConnell says.
"This was probably the hardest project I've ever tackled, but I'm so happy with it," she says. "I spent seven, full, 15-hour days working in total."
McConnell shoots the images using an HDR camera, she then manipulates them with photo editing software to remove unwanted things like neighbors' homes, electrical wires - anything that doesn't conform with her vision for the most unique creation on the block.

McConnell outfitted the home with dripping frosting, well-placed peppermint pinwheels, candy cane-lined windows; this outrageous house is definitely filled with Christmas spirit as reported by She Knows news.
The talented artist spent a lot of time painting, cutting and hanging each element into a perfectly planned Christmas spectacle.
McConnell admits that transforming the house was tricky. The icing that she beautifully placed on the roof is actually a net she amazingly constructed out of nylon rope.
