'iPad Air 3' Release Date, Specs, News: New 'iPad Air' Slimmer and Lighter, May Launch 2016

The most recent rumor about the "iPad Air 3" is that it would be arriving somewhere within 2016, since the device was missing in action the entire 2015. The only thing we saw from Apple's tablet factory is the "iPad Pro", which is probably why some people already lost hope that an "iPad Air 3" will show up before this year ends. The only good thing about the absence of the "iPad Air 3" is that Apple wins more time to brew the thing and allow it to be more impressive than we expect.

This level of expectation roots from Apple's great job in creating the "iPad Air 2". As per TechRadar, Apple's "iPad Air 2" was a representation of a perfect tablet that was made even better. So the question that remains: where does it go from that point? Well, we are very hopeful that Apple does the same thing and create an even more impressive tab in the form of the "iPad Air 3".

We have expected the "iPad Air 3" to come in 2015, but instead, we were introduced to the "iPad Pro", a device dubbed as Apple's attempt to take on Microsoft's latest Surface devices. Although both the "iPad Pro" and the Surface are way above their other rivals, these two are actually only similar when it comes to their 'premium build'. Apart from that, it's really hard to compare these two, as they actually offer different things. It would actually make more sense to compare the "iPad Pro" to the upcoming "iPad Air 3".

"iPad Air 3" Expectations

The processor is probably the one getting the most boost for the "iPad Air 3". Apart from that, it is also possible that the"iPad Air 3" will be even slimmer than before, and probably lighter than its predecessor. That makes the device even more interesting as it's hard to think how Apple can manage to make the "iPad Air 3" even more slimmer than before. It would also be great if Apple increases the smallest memory size to 32 GB, to simply avoid running out of memory in the long run. 16 GB minimum storage should only be in devices with microSD slots, because clearly, 16 GB wouldn't be enough after months of usage.
