News about the "Sons of Anarchy Prequel" is here and fans of Charlie Hunnam's hit series will be excited to know that a new addition to the cast will portray Jax Teller's father in the series.
Undoubtedly, the most popular character in the series is Charlie Hunnam's role Jax Teller but now with the upcoming prequel, the show will highlight more on the young version of his father, John Teller. And the choice of actor to portray the young John Teller according to Crossmap is none other than "World War Z" actor Brad Pitt.
Meanwhile the storyline for the prequel of "SOA" will unfold in Nam and will center on the story of John Teller and Piney. Apart from this, it is expected that the prequel will run one season and include 10 to 12 episodes.
"At some point I do have plans to hopefully do the prequel, which I do see as a one-off 10- or 12-episode thing where we begin in Nam and see John Teller and Piney and see how that relationship got created, and bring them back to the States and the obvious external dynamics that were going on with the country and the perception of the war and what an odd kind of perception these vets got when they returned home," said Kurt Sutter from Deadline. "And then have it be the development of the club, ending before we start to get too close to some of the mythology that's already been established."
"Sons of Anarchy" has been a widely favorite show ever since it was aired in 2008 and although the prequel will feature a new angle on the story, Sutter detailed that the series will still portray what it is always known for.
"It's always about character and relationship. As it was with Sons. The outlaw motorcycle club became the backdrop to a very conflicted hero. That is what will happen here," said Sutter from his interview with E!.
Meanwhile, the news about Charlie Hunnam's comeback on the prequel is still unknown and "The Lost City of Z" actor even commented regarding this.
"I'm not sure when it would happen though, he's got another TV show he's working on. I don't know if he needs me as a lead actor on that too," Hunnam said from Men's Magazine.
