Quantico Season 1 Episode 11 Winter Finale Spoilers: Showrunner Teases Alex Has Nowhere To Go

ABC's crime drama "Quantico" has gained more viewership as the story progresses, and now it's down to the last episode before the mid-season break.

Last episode, Alex was forced to betray her friends when Liam and Miranda convinced her to spy on her allies. She agreed because New York is in danger. It was also revealed that Simon was the mastermind of the bombing, but it was not his intentions to let the terrorists have the schematics. And when he went home, he was kidnapped by Elias.

Entertainment Weekly caught up with "Quantico" showrunner Josh Safran and ask whether Elias is the terrorist. Safran answered, "All I can say is that obviously what's revealed in the final seconds springboards us into the finale."

And now that Team Alex is no longer on her side, at least emotionally, what's going to happen to Alex? Safran said, "What's running through her head at the end of the episode is that in 12 hours, she's going to go to jail for the rest of her life. The plan was Simon, and Simon has turned his back on her and is now indisposed, and she has nowhere to turn."

Alex has pled guilty to the bombing on behalf of her friends so she can investigate further. It also put her in the custody of the FBI for 24 hours. In the new clips released by "Quantico," Alex is still in custody with four hours left. Miranda tells her that if they don't find a bomb or a bomb before the time run out, Alex will be turned over to the Federal Prison for the crime she didn't commit.

Will they be able to find the second bomb and the person behind it before it blow up the Grand Central Station?

"Quantico" winter finale airs on Sunday, Dec. 13 at 10 p.m. on ABC.
