'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' Spoilers, Plot, News, Updates: Captain Marvel is Father of Star-Lord? Nebula and Gamora Scene Details Revealed

"Guardians of the Galaxy 2" rumors reveal that Captain Marvel may be the father of Star-Lord. Meanwhile, Gamora and Nebula's relationship will be explored in the upcoming movie, according to Cinema Blend.

"Guardians of the Galaxy" is a hit movie in 2014 and fans are looking forward to see the movie. For the meantime, while production and filming of the sequel is still on-going, fans rely on updates and teasers online.

Some reports on fan websites speculate that Mar-Vell or Captain Marvel is the father of Peter Quill or Star-Lord. Fans arrive to this speculation because movie writer James Gunn said that the real father of Peter Quill will not be J'Son of Spartax like what was stated in the comics, IGN reported.

Apart from that, it is also rumored that the character of Captain Marvel is the role that Matthew McConaughey passed on.

Meanwhile, there will be some interesting scenes between Karen Gillan's Nebula, the daughter of Thanos, and her sister Gamora that is played by Zoe Saldana. During the "Heroes & Villains Fan Fest," Gillan expressed her excitement for the movie and her role.

“I’ve read the script,” Gillan said, Comic Book reported. “I haven’t talked to anyone about it, which is, frankly, really frustrating, because I want to talk to everyone about it, but I can’t. I just know it’s going to be really brilliant, and I feel like everyone is going to like it.”

In the previous movie, Nebula escaped the Dark Aster as it descends on Xandar and she still has unfinished business with her adoptive sister and Guardian of the Galaxy Gamora.

Gunn has already finished the draft of the movie back in June and while fans are eager to read spoilers online, Gunn said that spoilers will merely be a small part of the film and that the plot twists will not rely on spoilers.

"I got in this business because I love movies, and I think most film journalists are the same way. And spoiling plot details doesn't add to the enjoyment of the film-going experience," said Gunn, according to Gamespot.
