'Thor: Ragnarok' News and Updates: Chris Hemsworth Wants Third 'Thor' Film to be Witty and Humorous Like First 'Guardians of the Galaxy' Movie

Chris Hemsworth who currently plays Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films, revealed several ideas he has for the third sequel movie, "Thor: Ragnarok." His ideas include surprising humor and witty jokes.

Hemsworth recently shared his ideas regarding the up and coming film. During his interview with Cinemablend, the 32-year-old actor made a comment on how that he wants the movie to have the same witty comments and unexpected humor as that of "Guardians of the Galaxy," which was also directed by the same film director, James Gunn. "I think [Thor 3] needs to be injected with that sort of smart wit and unexpected kind of humor, kind of what James Gunn came in and did with Guardians [of the Galaxy]," the Hollywood actor told Cinemablend. "It was like off center and unpredictable, and I think we can definitely use a dose of that, you know?"

Although both the last movies "Thor" and "Thor: The Dark World," have been noted to have traces of witty humor in them, these movies actually have a dark atmosphere when it comes to the storyline. Unlike the two, the "Guardians of the Galaxy" has a well balanced humor and emotional as well as the action side. Hemsworth also hinted that, after watching "Guardians of the Galaxy," he thought that the second movie, "The Dark World," should have inserted more comicality into it.

Moreover, Disney also noted that the script for "Thor: Ragnarok" is indeed "too dark." Fortunately, the film's director Taika Waititi was able to make it more balanced when it comes to humor and overall emotion, according to Screenrant.

The Holywood actor further commented, "We've done regal. We've done Shakespeare, and we've shown that. I think now it's time to go, 'Ok, cool. Let's try something different,' and Taika just had such a brilliant sort of take and funny kind of ideas about where we could [go], how we could do that."

"Thor: Ragnarok" will be having its cinematic premiere on Nov. 3, 2017.
