Shirley MacLaine, "The Terms of Endearment" actress has reportedly listed her ranch in Albuquerque, New Mexico, for $18 million with Sotheby's International Realty.
Known as the Plaza Blanca Ranch, the property is about an hour away from Santa Fe and set in a scenic location just between the mountains.
MacLaine purchased the place 20 years ago and the buy was a spiritual affair. According to The Wall Street Journal, as soon as MacLaine set foot on the estate, she felt a positive energy about it and decided to make it hers.
The listing price of the ranch was also a product of a superstitious belief. The Journal reports that MacLaine consulted psychics to ascertain the asking price of the estate, they asked her to price it at $30 million. However, she decided to go with the $18 million tag because she believes in numerology. She claims that the number 18 adds up to 9 (1+8 = 9), which signifies completion.
"Nine is the number of completion," she said. To me, it's not about money, it's about completion."
There was only one small house in the large 7,450-acre estate when MacLaine purchased it. She went on to add to what already existed rather than demolish it. She referred to the property as a getaway from the confusion and stress in life.
Current listing records state that the estate has a 9,000-square-foot main house, two ponds, a swimming pool, a caretaker cottage, a yurt and a horse barn as well.
Agent Susan Kline calls the property "magical" and also acknowledges that anybody who hasn't seen the property will not understand the value of it, reports Albuquerque Journal.

MacLaine is selling because she needs to be closer to her industry.
"I want to go to the movies, good restaurants. I really need to be closer, or I would tend to become a complete recluse out there," the 80-year-old actress told the publication.
Indeed, MacLaine just joined the cast of hit musical series "Glee."
