Ray Lewis, former NFL star, unloads Highland Beach mansion for $4.77 million

Ray Lewis, the former NFL star who played for Miami Hurricanes and Baltimore Ravens, has just sold his 6,788-square-foot home in Highland Beach for $4.77 million, reports the Sun Sentinal quoting Palm Beach County property records.

Set on a 10,890-square-foot lot and built in 2001, the athlete's four-story Mediterranean-style home is located at 3573 S. Ocean Blvd. It includes seven bedrooms, eight full and one half bathrooms. The master suite is palatial and is complete with its own spa-like bath, and a private balcony overlooking the ocean.

According to an earlier report in Realtor, the floor plan of the house shows it features vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and an assortment of luxury, custom-made amenities. The home is complete with two spacious living rooms located on different floors, a family room, a den and a cabana bath.

The chef's kitchen is a highlight of this home, as it stands out with sophisticated amenities and customized wood built-ins, a ceiling resembling a honeycomb, a center island and ornate leaded windows.

The listing on Realtor shows that the property comes with an open patio, an open balcony, a deck, a detached five-car garage and additional space for parking two cars. It also has an elevator that takes you from the living room on the ground floor to the terrace garden.

On the outside, the property is complete with an outdoor kitchen and an infinity pool and spa running off to the side. In addition, it also has a 58 feet private water frontage.

Thirty-eight-year-old Lewis purchased the property for $5.22 million in 2004. Lewis asked just shy of $5 million when he first began shopping the 6,800-square-foot estate in March 2013, soon after he was removed from winning his second championship with the Ravens. Later, in the same year, the property was delisted, but returned to the market in December for the same price.

The property was listed with Emily K. Roberts of Tauriello & Company Real Estate, Inc.
