'Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain' Secret Nuclear Disarmament Event Conditions

Games nowadays are full of Easter egg surprises so don't be stunned that "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" also has an event that unboxes to players who have fulfilled some particular requirements.

According to Polygon, Konami has revealed that this secret event, the complete nuclear disarmament of every player on the same regional server, can be accessed after certain conditions are met. "Metal Gear" has always been about nuclear weapon or bombs. In this latest "Metal Gear Solid" franchise, nuclear weapons are found or developed at a player's Mother Base and are commonly used as preventive measures against raids. Now, Konami wants to have a more dramatic flair to nuclear disarmament but adding this secret event.

As per Konami, to unlock the Nuclear Disarmament event, the conditions state that player must have completed Mission 31. The second one states that the player should own or be currently developing a nuclear weapon, any nukes in stock must be dismantled. The player must also meet server-specific conditions for corresponding to their gaming platform. It was greatly emphasized that the amount of nukes on the player's platform's server must be equal to 0.

Konami has also noted, "Should new nukes be developed after conditions 3 and 4 have been fulfilled, this event can be repeated by fulfilling all four conditions again."

Konami has also listed the number of nuclear weapons own per platform. Since the event, the number of weapons own by gamers for each platform has significantly reduced. On Nov. 1, PlayStation 4 gamers own a total of 2,761, Xbox One games have 525, and PC (Steam Gamers) have 36,552. Based on Konami's last update on Nov. 27, which will be done regularly via Twitter, the weapons owned by PlayStation 4 gamers is down to 349, Xbox One 81 and PC 15,206.

"Metal Gear Solid" is currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
