‘Better Call Saul’ Season 2 Will Enjoy Rare Netflix Streaming and TV Airing in 2016

"Breaking Bad" spinoff series "Better Call Saul" season two is going to be aired on television and streamed on Netflix; a rare feat for shows considering the stiff competition they go against.

"Better Call Saul" Season 1 was such a massive hit that the series will be aired on TV and streamed online for its second season. According to Master Herald, many television shows have been treading on thin ice due to the number of competition especially on primetime airing. The spinoff of "Breaking Bad" is one of the rare shows that managed to score a streaming deal with Netflix and another season from AMC. Other shows that do not fare as well end up being canceled on TV and try to get a streaming deal or vice versa for shows that get picked up by streaming services first.

"Better Call Saul" will reportedly have 10 episodes for its second season which is the same number as the first. However, it was reported that AMC originally ordered 13 episodes which could mean the network is going to relent to how the producers want things done with the show. And with many critics heaping praise on the series, it would be prudent for AMC to let the showrunners have their way.

In a report by Variety, the series' second season will start airing on Feb. 15, 2016 and will go up against the Grammy Awards that will be aired on CBS. The show is actually the prequel to "Breaking Bad" and has taken the top spot among viewers' choice in the adult 18-49 group, 25-54 and in the overall category. It is currently the second highest-rated first season of any show in the history of cable TV. "The Walking Dead" and "Fear the Walking Dead" are the only shows to top it.
