Nissan Sentra 2016 Features, Price & Release: Revised 2016 Sentra Debuts at Los Angeles Auto Show; Look and Feel Closer to New 2016 Maxima and 2016 Altima?

Nissan has debuted the all new redesigned 2016 Sentra at the Los Angeles Auto Show, featuring a complete makeover to the popular sedan from the Japanese manufacturer.

"For 2016, we're giving our popular Sentra a complete makeover - that's three-for-three for our top sedans," said Fred Diaz, senior vice president, Sales & Marketing and Operations, U.S.A., Nissan North America, Inc.

Daily News Journal said that the redesign of Sentra 2016's exterior brings it closer to the look and feel of Nissan's 2016 Maxima and 2016 Altima. The new Sentra features LED low-beam projector headlights and 17-inch alloy wheels, giving the car a modern and sporty look. It also has a redesigned aerodynamic exterior with new front and rear fascia.

The four-door, five-seater Sentra offers more leg room and flexibility -- the front passenger seat can even be folded down if more space is needed for cargo. It features a new steering wheel wrapped in leather and new heated front seats and refined seat fabrics, as well as new audio display design.

For the first time, the Sentra will have Nissan's Safety Shield Technologies -- Forward Emergency Braking which warns of possible forward collision; Blind Spot Warning which gives an alert if a vehicle has been detected in the blind spot area; Rear Cross Traffic Alert which warns of approaching vehicles when backing; Intelligent Cruise Control that helps maintain a proper distance with the car in front; and a Rearview Monitor that gives a look of what's right behind the car.

There are six 2016 Sentra models to choose from - Sentra S 6MT, Sentra S Xtronic, Sentra FE+S, Sentra SV, Sentra SR and Sentra SL. All have 130 horsepower and a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that is fuel-efficient.

The 2016 Nissan Sentra will be on sale in early 2016 at a starting price of $16,780.
