'Persona 5' Release Date, News, Features, Updates: DLC Details Revealed Soon, Katsura Hashino Talks About Game Development Challenges

"Persona 5" for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 consoles will feature new DLC and game play. Meanwhile, Game director Katsura Hashino revealed about the challenges they encountered in developing the game.

Hashino along with lead designer Shigenori Soejima promised gaming fans that "Persona 5" will be worth the wait. Altus is currently developing the game's DLC which resulted into its change of launch date, instead of this year; it will be released next year.

Characters for "Persona 5" are new and were not seen in previous game trailers. The characters involve four teenagers from Shujin High School who will become Phantom Thieves during the night. The group will be led by an unnamed protagonist with his friends Ryuji Sakamoto, Ann Takamaki and Yusuke Kitagawa along with a talking cat named Morgana, Yibada reported.

The mission of the game is to steal hearts of those individuals who are corrupt by using their own "Personas." New game features will also be added which includes "All-Out-Attack", Sneak" and "Cooperation".

Meanwhile, Hashino shared that the development of the game has been challenging and he even apologized for the delay.

"I know it's been a long wait, but I hope you'll give us just a little more time. Hopefully once it's out, it'll all be worth it in the end. We've been very fortunate to have created a series of games where people feel so attached to each of the protagonists, so we hope that with Persona 5, we'll be able to make a game where the events of it really hit home and make for really impactful experiences," Hashino said according to Gematsu.

"There are some things that can only be experienced on a console, especially when it comes to RPGs. We've heard from people that games like Persona are the reason they've started playing RPGs again and we're working really hard to make this new one another such game that can reach out to people and grab them," Hashino added.
