'Outlander' Season 2 Spoilers: Jamie and Claire's Long Time Journey Teased, Third Season Planned

"Outlander" Season 2 is currently in production and fans are already excited for the upcoming show. With that, Ronald D. Moore teased about what is in store for Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and the possibility of the show's third season, Movie News Guide reported.

"Outlander" Season 3 will be based on the third book of Diana Gabaldon that is entitled, "Voyager." With that said, Jamie and Claire will have a lot of sailing to do which makes it appear even more exciting.

"I can’t wait to get out to sea. That’s what [I like], doing the tall ship section… I want to do the whole sea chase; that whole section is really going to be fun,” Moore said, according to Cinema Blend. “I’m sure it will be really hard and I’ll regret it as soon as I start doing it, but I’m looking forward to it.”

For the third season, the cast will be leaving Scotland and will film in Jamaica for the events that involve Jacobite Rising. For the ocean scenes, Moore revealed that there will be a lot of CG job for it.

“The technology now, between real ships like what they have in Black Sails and CG, it’s now developed to a place where you can believe it,” Moore said. “It’s no longer just the models on the water tank at Paramount, which is clearly like this big. Now you can really realize on a television budget what Pirates of the Caribbean was doing 8-10 years ago. Now, we can actually do better CG than that on the television front.”

Moore is already expecting Season 3 even if they are still on the production of Season 2 due to the success of the show in Season 1. He is confident that Starz will let them do another season because the show is very popular and has high ratings.

Apart from that, "Outlander" already received many online awards and nominations for its adaptation of Gabaldon's best-selling book series.
